If you thought that having a dog created major changes in your life, just wait until you have a baby. A baby will take up more time than your neediest pet or even your neediest friend ever did. Of course, there are a few similarities to having a dog and having a baby, if you will excuse me for suggesting such a thing. There is not question that both a puppy and a baby are perhaps the most adorable things on the planet – but they have other, less adorable, similarities as well.
You have constantly got to feed both a dog and a baby. You are always having to clean up after your baby or dog, whether you’re changing a diaper or picking up an indoor “no-no.” Neither a baby nor a dog can hold an intelligent conversation with you. Instead, they resort to making strange and loud noises to try and tell you what’s wrong. Both dogs and babies are constantly putting things into their mouths that they should not. And both babies and dogs like toys that squeak.
So, if you are planning on having a baby, you ought to be prepared. A baby is going to wear on you mentally and physically, but is all worth it just to hear your precious baby giggle. Luckily there are some great baby clothes and baby accessories out there that will make your life easier.
As cute as a baby is, cute baby clothing can only make a baby cuter! It’s amazing to see the tiny shirts and pants and booties that are out there for your baby. Can you even imagine the time that you were small enough to fit into such miniscule things? Baby clothing is just as cute as it was when you were but a baby, but baby accessories have only gotten better.
Baby bottles, rattles, breast pumps, bouncers, car seats, pacifiers – all of these things are even better than they were when you were a baby. Things are sturdier and safer and easier to use and babies love these things even more.
There are even movies out there designed specifically for babies. Many things are on the market, too, that claim that can make sure your baby grows up to be intelligent. Whether or not you believe that these baby accessories work, it’s still pretty impressive that they exist.
Baby toys are no longer simply made with different fabrics or woods: they are made with different colored flashing lights and different sounds. They are made to teach your baby different things. Babies are a big market today. Be prepared.
Nowadays, as a new parent, you do not only need to read and learn about how to handle pregnancy or how to keep your baby healthy, you need to learn about which baby accessories are safest and best. Good luck with your baby – may you raise her and lover her even more than your dog!
